The first edition of Terrye's quarterly newsletter, Paradise News, was launched on Nov. 1, 2006.  It contained highlights from some of her Hawaiian Booksigning Parties, places where she traveled to speak, latest reviews about Trouble in Paradise and more.  Since that time the list of subscribers has grown by leaps and bounds!

Highlights from the Spring 2008 Newsletter

I 've been traveling all over the Midwest this year.  However, the ridiculously high price of gasoline is beginning to put a crimp in some of my future plans.  One important trip is coming up soon.  My husband and I are taking a research/book signing trip to South Dakota and Wyoming in June.  I hope to gather all kinds of great material for Book 5.  Allie's cousin, Noel, whom you'll hear a little about in Justice in Paradise, lives with his family near Wall, SD, not far from Badlands National Park.  Allie and Aunt Edith are already making plans to head that way.

After reading Revenge in Paradise, many readers are sending me good comments about the book.  If you haven't yet read it, here's an excerpt of a conversation between Allie and her cousin, Frankie:

"The dispatcher called me and told me to head over to Aunt Edith's neighborhood to help with crowd control," Frankie said.

"Crowd control?  What was going on?" I asked.

"Well, when I arrived, cars and people were everywhere!  Everyone was looking at something in the sky and didn't notice me.  Even after I tapped the horn and got on the loud speaker and told them to move, they just gave me enough room to get through.  When I climbed out of the car in front of Aunt Edith's, the sun was shining in my eyes.  I couldn't figure out what everyone was staring at--then I spotted her."  He let out a sigh.

"I probably don't want to hear this, but tell me what she was up to," I said.

"Thirty feet off the ground with her legs wrapped around a branch of that big pecan tree in her front yard, Aunt Edith was going to town!" he said.  "Her chainsaw..."

Aunt Edith and a chainsaw?  That can't be good!  To find out what happened next, you'll have to pick up a copy of Revenge in Paradise.

Justice in Paradise is coming along despite the stormy weather around here.  Lightning took out my computer a couple of weeks ago (along with the A/C and TV antenna).  Thankfully, now I have a new computer (which was long overdue), so the writing of Justice continues.

I hope you all have a wonderful summer!

Happy reading until next time!
